What we keep, and why.
ISOLINE is a small studio in Florida. There are no accounts, and you can build a plate without giving us anything.
Designs
A saved or shared plate is stored under a short code so its link opens it. It is not tied to your name, but anyone with the link can see it. Shared designs are kept for 30 days, kept designs for 90, and ordered designs for as long as ISOLINE operates, so the line code can reprint them.
A hole drawn from the survey for your plate is kept, and anyone who makes a plate of that hole may get the same drawing. It carries nothing of yours. A hole you mark yourself on the aerial stays with your plate and is not offered to anyone else. Once an ordered plate's lines have been checked, we may add the outline of that hole, never your words, to the library.
If you keep a plate or ask to hear when a course is ready, we keep your email address for that. If someone invites you to sign their plate, we use the address the host gave only for that plate: the invitation, one reminder at most, a thank-you if you sign, and one note when it is printed. If you check the box for reminders when you keep a plate, we send a few notes about that plate only (the last day to order for a holiday, a week before a kept plate is let go), never news or offers, and each has a one-click unsubscribe. Addresses left for a course are deleted once we have written, or after six months. An ordered plate appears in our library or posts only if you checked the box to offer it and we chose it, never with your name, and we take it down whenever you ask.
Orders
Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify under its own privacy policy; we never see card details. We keep your name, shipping address, email, phone number and design. The partners who print and deliver your plate receive only what they need to do so.
Service providers
Our own analytics use no cookies and do not identify you: page views, counted by Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and a daily count of how many visits reached each step of the Builder. When a search finds no course, or a course is looked for on the map or opened on its photograph, we keep the course name or the words searched, and the day, so we know which courses to draw next; never who searched. The checkout uses its own cookies. A note written in a script our drawn hands do not cover, such as Japanese or Arabic, loads its letters from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it sends them. We do not sell your information.
In the United States and most countries outside Europe, the site loads the Pinterest tag. It tells Pinterest when a page is visited or a plate is added to an order, so we can measure our ads on Pinterest and show them to people likely to want a plate. Pinterest may set a cookie to do this, under its own privacy policy. When an order is placed, the checkout sends Pinterest the same kind of signal. We leave the tag out in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and for any browser that sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track: turning on either one opts you out. We share your information only as this page describes.
On your device
Your browser keeps a few things for you, and none of them leaves it unless you act: the plate you are working on and your order before checkout, your name and email if you passed a plate around (so you need not type them again), the light or dark setting, and which tips and bars you have closed. While a tab is open it also notes which steps of the Builder were counted, so a visit is counted once; that goes when the tab closes. If a link gave you a discount code, your browser keeps the code, and the name of whoever shared the link, for up to 90 days, so the discount is applied when you order and they are credited. A link without a code leaves nothing behind.
